New project exploring what constitutes elder financial abuse

Dr Jane Marriot and Mr Rob Jago recently received Reid Research funding to support a project that involves an examination of the recently published Law Society’s guidance on what constitutes elder financial abuse and, thus, may bear legal consequences.  The aim of the project is to identify, and ultimately narrow, gaps between professional and non-professional understandings of elder financial abuse thus enabling the recognition and reporting of elder financial abuse and the facilitation of coherent, effective practical responses to it.
